TALK THE HYPE

Slogans & Statements: wording becomes both inspirational and thoughtful with encouraging words and quotes or heartwarming and environmental-awareness statements. A focus on quality, craft and sustainability becomes key and takes inspiration from surfaces faded by time, oxidised, washed out after recycling, or smudged with a chalky dry texture. Simple everyday classics with Utilitarian detailing are fused together with sporty touches to create an urban look. Update jerseywear with pockets or utility zips to achieve a soft urban feel. Tipping stripes, pleat details mimicking origami folds and bold colour contrasts create a sophisticated look.  The heavy woven fabrics of utility dressing are combined with felted or quilted surfaces,or sometimes soft jersey. Into the wild.
Animal-inspired prints and graphics, with big cats leading the way. Prints and graphics are efreshed with outlines in bold colours and photoreal images. Hand-drawn animals offer a more nostalgic look. Protection and warmth are achieved through textured faux furs, liquid shine quilting and puckered effects.Animal prints are refined for Fall with clean vector graphic spots and stripes in exotic fashion-forward color combinations. Wild animal patterns get a modern makeover. Vector graphic prints offer a clean-lined aesthetic.Subtle sports and motocross detailing add an urban edge to this casual-meets-partywear collection. Asymmetric zips, funnel necks, quilted patches, and tipping stripes feature  alongside animal ears and exaggerated ruffle collars for girls.

KITSCH COWBOY

City influences merge with Wild West vibes for this collection, which includes traditional rodeo ideas and urbanised details. Native prints, stencilled patterns, Wild West embroideries and grow-on fringe to update core shapes.Classic rodeo materials such as chambray denim and leather are important. Soft and cosy faux fur and shaggy fur combine for a new take on the fur coat, continuing the importance of tactile materials for kidswear. The moto jacket looks new with added fringe and stencilled graphics, and the favourite chambray buttondown is refreshed with Wild West details and mirrored collar embroideries.

For a Dutch company we made a new workwear collection for the sales people and chef de cuisine. We designed a new chef’s jacket with apron, they all combined it with a dark denim and black adidas shoes.

We started with a moodboard and then made the designs. For this project we also did the sampling and production.
